New Partner: Circolo, for Everything Around Your Event

The RaffleLink team

A lot of raffles don’t run on their own. They’re attached to something: a gala dinner, a ball, a race day, a school trivia night, a club’s presentation evening. We’ve written about how event raffles take almost all their money in a single evening, and the organisers behind those nights know the raffle is the easy part.

The hard part is everything around it. Who’s bought a seat, and who’s bought a table of ten. Who’s vegetarian, who needs a ramp, who hasn’t paid. Which supplier is bringing the AV and when. The runsheet that exists in four versions across three inboxes. The queue at the door.

That part isn’t what RaffleLink does, so we went looking for someone who does it well.

Meet Circolo

Circolo is Australian event project management software. It brings the moving parts of an event into one workspace:

  • Tickets and registrations, for paid or free events.
  • Guest information: dietaries, accessibility, waivers, emergency contacts, whatever you need to collect.
  • Tasks and team, so responsibilities aren’t living in a spreadsheet.
  • Suppliers and budgets, alongside the guest list rather than in a separate file.
  • Runsheets, so everyone on the night is working from the latest plan.
  • Check-in on the day, including ticket scanning at the door.

Put simply: RaffleLink runs the raffle, Circolo runs the event it’s attached to.

As part of the partnership, RaffleLink organisers get a free Circolo trial. Start it from Circolo’s page for RaffleLink customers:

You’ll also find it inside RaffleLink. Open your dashboard and look for Perks in the sidebar, below Settings. That page is where we’ll put offers from partners we recommend to organisers, and Circolo is the first.

What it doesn’t change

Nothing about your raffles. The two are separate services with separate accounts, and there’s no need to use one to use the other. Your raffle page, checkout, draw and payouts work exactly as they do today.

In the interest of being straightforward: we may receive a fee when an organisation signs up to Circolo through these links. We only list partners we’d recommend anyway.

Running an event raffle?

If your raffle is built around a night, it’s worth reading our one-night raffle piece before you set it up. And if you’d like a hand with the raffle side of the evening, reply to any of our emails or call us on 0468 181 779.
